About Pickles Book Club
Pickles Book Club was born out of a craving for connection, for culture, for a room full of curious minds and good wine. Hosted by Adelfa Marr and Manny Montana in New York City, Pickles started as a small gathering of book lovers and has grown into a full-on vibe, even catching the attention of Brooklyn Magazine (we’re blushing).
We meet monthly at Bouquet Wine Bar in Greenpoint, our dream spot for unwinding with natural wines, smash burgers, schnitzels, and conversation that lingers long after the last sip. It’s not stuffy. It’s not pretentious. It’s not your grandma’s book club (though she’d probably love it).
We read everything from sci-fi to memoirs, and every session kicks off with a casual craft moment, think bookmark making or bracelet beading to break the ice and settle in. Then we dive into open discussion: what resonated, what didn’t, what made us feel, think, rage, or underline.
We also host seasonal book swaps so you can trade stories, literally, and keep your shelves fresh.
Everyone’s welcome here. You don’t have to be “well-read” to belong. You just have to show up curious, open, and ready to vibe with a crew that gets it.
